I can't believe the Niners did this. Now if they need to sit Smith down for a while to prevent him from getting killed, they have to go with Ken Dorsey or Cody Pickett. Yikes.
On the bright side, this makes the path to the No. 1 overall pick and the accompanying bounty in their trade of it much more of a possibility.

Rattay is an insurance policy in case Simms falls on his face. But the Bucs have the week off so it will be interesting to see what happens after the bye week.

You're joking, right? Simms doesn't have a chance to start once Rattay learns the playbook.*Syria becomes the 7th predominantly Muslim country bombed by 2009 Nobel Peace Laureate Barack Obama—after Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and Iraq

I liked Rattay, but I don't think the guy is worth a damn bit more than a 2d stringer @ best...

Rattay is worth a few decent starts, but he usually drops off pretty quickly.*Syria becomes the 7th predominantly Muslim country bombed by 2009 Nobel Peace Laureate Barack Obama—after Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya and Iraq
