  • For Blues Fans

Not a big hockey fan, but enjoy reading your posts on the Blues, which seem to have fallen off the map.

    Posted FYI.

These days, it doesn't look like the Blues, who for the second consecutive week find themselves stuck at No. 18 in our Power Rankings, are going anywhere. St. Louis begins the final full month of the regular season with a 29-25-8-2 record, good for 68 points, which is just four below eighth-place Los Angeles and Calgary. The Blues have 18 games remaining, but the team has looked uninspired at a crucial juncture in its first few games under Kitchen, much the way it looked under Joel Quenneville before he was fired.

If nothing else, the Blues have demonstrated that the problems run deeper than the former coach.

      I happen to disagree.

      They're going somewhere allright.

The problem is that it isn't the post-season...or the second round...or the conference finals...or the finals.

Suddenly I feel like Bill Murray...and I'm in Pennsylvania...and...is that Sonny and Cher I hear?

I refuse to enter the month of March without thinking this is the year. I have felt this way every spring since 1967 (and, unfortunately, I am old enough for this to be said without exaggerating).

        Hockey playoffs - priceless.

Let's not worry about the truth.

Even if they get in as the 8th seed - Game 1 will feel like Game 1 has for the past 36 years (or at least for most of those 36 years). We can imagine that Chris Osgood will turn into Martin Brodeur - we really can imagine that.

        I hope they get in.

          Here here.

We're doing decently with shots on goal, but we've got to shoot and *make them count* instead of just lobbing shite at the net.
