Kerry-Edwards would be a strong ticket!

Kerry-Clark would be good-- I'd really enjoy watching General Clark grinding up (or down) VP Cheney in a few debates!

I know plenty of people who voted for Nader and wouldn't do it this year if they were at gunpoint in the booth. I doubt the running mate will be THAT significant this time around for reasons stated earlier: "The nation is so divided these days, the VP selection isn't going to matter. " - WinstonSmith

Still, if Kerry picks a northerner, we can kiss this election goodbye..

    Winston,

The VP itself may not matter, but the pick illuminates the candidate's mindset.

I know four people (much more lib than me) who voted for Nader because Gore's pick represented a same as it ever was mentality.

    It didn't matter.

No one votes based on VP.

    Best example?

Joe L. ripped Hollywood throughout his senatorial career..... Hollywood still supported Algore "big time."

Don't forget about the clintons pushing clark on the ticket. If they have the pull everyone thinks they do, it will be kerry/clark

    Winston,

It mattered in 2000 when Gore picked a Republican, er, Lieberman, to run with him.

That's why, IMO, so much support went Nader's way. Kerry would be wise to pick a photogenic, intelligent Southerner like Edwards.

If he makes the wrong choice, it won't be close.

    Graham is a nobody nationally.

And I don't think he can "deliver the South."

    He probably wouldn't even help.

The nation is so divided these days, the VP selection isn't going to matter.

Ashcroft is a bigger mf than bush. I really think that he surrounded himself with assholes just so he'd look better than he really is.
    Sounds like Dubya's strategy too!

    It worked for awhile! :o

    That's the only one.

Kennedy got WAY more pussy than Kerry. And his wife was hot, to boot.

Among other things that irk me about Kerry, people seem to be of the mindset that he must be a good choice because he's A. From Massachussetts, and B. guess what his initials are... JFK.

But hey, if that's what it takes to get Bush out, I'll be more than happy to vote for JFK in November. Just not tomorrow.
I don't think a Massachusetts background is too helpful. Ask Dukakis.
