When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

I don't think Edwards is done. He's going to be Kerry's running mate.
Not if he keeps making life hell for him.

I'm digging you. My wife's grandfather won't tell who he casts his vote for -- or his reasons for doing so. "It's nobody's business."
Plenty of regional elections have been decided because one person's name was easier to pronounce than another's.
It brings to mind Jo Ann Emerson running on the "Team Emerson" campaign after Bill died. An insurance lobbyist, she piggybacked the on the name of her husband (a distinguished rep) having never lived in the district she represents. The GOP got her elected, and now she votes her "conscience" for them.
NIce system.
His mind is not for rent, to any god or government. Pointless debate is what we do here -- lvr
BurnKU: As interesting as Edwards is, he's done. I have a lot more respect for him than Kerry.
Whatever!
Bush is toast!
Norman Chad, syndicated columnist: “Sports radio, reflecting our sinking culture, spends entire days advising managers and coaches, berating managers and coaches, firing managers and coaches and searching the countryside for better middle relievers. If they just redirected their energy toward, say, crosswalk-signal maintenance, America would be 2 percent more livable.”
"The best argument against democracy," someone (Churchill?) said, "is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

A certain democrat did that after her husband died too. Lukily that experiment didn't last long although it paved the way for Ashcroft, which was good, for if no other reason, it pisses you all off.
Asked what he would do differently in Iraq, Kerry said, "Right now, what I would do differently is, I mean, look, I'm not the president, and I didn't create this mess so I don't want to acknowledge a mistake that I haven't made."
Among other things that irk me about Kerry, people seem to be of the mindset that he must be a good choice because he's A. From Massachussetts, and B. guess what his initials are... JFK.
But hey, if that's what it takes to get Bush out, I'll be more than happy to vote for JFK in November. Just not tomorrow.

I don't think a Massachusetts background is too helpful. Ask Dukakis.
