Another brilliant effort by the Note.

            Dev,

You're usually pretty good, but I distinctly remember your prediction that the Blues would score a goal.

Lump of coal in your stocking.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

The only positive I have seen out of Kitchen is that he has taken the reins off of Backman. I'm eager to see what the kid can do when the threat of the doghouse isn't lurking behind him

What can I say...I overestimated this bunch. I figured not even they had such little pride as to get shutout two nights in a row. I guess I drank too much of the Kool-Aid.

                  ****

Just some quick stats for anyone interested (and those of you who post at Blues News are free to take this info there):

Keith Tkachuk has been a reliable scorer of late, with 8 goals in his last 15 games. No other forward can say the same...

Doug Weight recently enjoyed a three-game goal scoring streak which came on the heels of a stretch in which he scored one goal in 23 games. Now, he has failed to score in the past four games, giving him four goals in his past 30 games.

Pavol Demitra has one goal in his last 10 games. Scott Mellanby has one in his last 14, Dallas Drake and Jamal Mayers each have two in their last 33, Eric Boguniecki two in his last 19, and Petr Cajanek an astounding none in his last 36, dating back to Nov. 29.

                    >>giving him four goals in his past 30 games<<

Nine million doesn't go as far as it used to.

I hear Pronger is mentioned in some trade rumors...unless they are bowled over by a team like, I dunno, the Bruins (pipe dream hope: Raycroft and Bergeron for Pronger, Osgood and high draft choice), keep Pronger....
