Cool team names.....

The ABA may have had the best team names, IMO.

I loved the Kentucky Colonels, Virginia Squires, Pittsburgh Condors, and Dallas Chaperalls, but, the best team name IMO, was "the Spirits of St. Louis".

Did anyone on here actually see them during their short stay?

Spirits of St. Louis and St. Louis Blues are two of the best team names ever.

I also like Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Jazz, Philadelphia 76ers, and San Francisco 49ers.

They're gone now, kaput. I have a Macon Whoopie cap, a puck, and a team sweater. The woman in charge of selling off all the Whoopie gear is a Sharks fan; don't know if she can still get stuff, but I bought a bunch.

EDIT: My favorite is the ECHL's Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.
