    I don't.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

but I don't care if someone else feels the need to carry
But what about when "someone" misses what they are shooting at and kills a bystander?

Once will be way too many.
The people vote no, they force the law on us, and then some Kid gets killed because of the law?
God help everyone involved if it's my kid.

One (possible) innocent bystander vs. all the lives that WILL be lost if citizens are forced to disarm.

Your compassion is bowling me over.

Who is forcing who to disarm?

Ah yes, just throw "disarming the public" out there.

A very nice NRA sound bite.
But not having a carry law is not disarming anyone.

                    Yaks,

I thought liberals were all about "choice"

                      Ah but back to disarming?

As for choice, yes we are, and we had one, we voted NO.

And I thought Republicans thought that government was supposed to stay out of peoples lives?
I guess not in this case.
People vote no, Republicans say you cannot decide for yourself.

                          Criminals are already doing this.

A guy I used to work with died from a stray bullet while cleaning out his car. These stories are in the news all the time. It is interesting that you don't want law abiding people to have guns to protect themselves while the criminals have them.

Nobody WANTS to get in a shootout with anybody. If you could guarantee that after I just "give them the money" that they'd leave without shooting or stabbing me or my family, I could live with that, but you can't exactly do that can you?
