  • the Conceal/Carry Law

guys, as you probably know, the Conceal/Carry Law was passed in St. Charles County.

I just got a sweet new writing gig. i normally do sports, but they asked me to do this, and i'm willing to try anything.

i'm writing a reaction-type of article, so I'd love to get your thoughts on this. It would be great if I could get St. Charles County residents, but all opinions are welcome.

i'd also need your real name. Things like Turd Ferguson probably wouldn't go over too well, unfortunately you can PM me your name if you don't want it on the board.

again, i really appreciate it!! thanks guys!

if you need any more info on it, here's the link :

I didn't see your post initially.

I'll be happy to provide what I think.

If you want to handle it by PM, let me know.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

I'm not in St. Chuck County, otherwise I'd be glad to help.

And my real name is Turd Ferguson.

My reaction: What next? I voted against this becoming law---but there's more than one way to get laws passed--so be it. So is that it? Are those who wanted this satisfied, or is there something next on the agenda that we will have to focus on?

Ok, you asked for it. I personally don't own a gun but I believe everyone should have the right to own one. I really have a hard time believing that this won't turn into the wild west only in one regard. With the way road rage is going now days I just think this may turn into a really big problem someday. The way almost everyone speeds on the highways and people lose their tempers I think this is a fiasco waiting to happen. Just my .02.

I also don't appreciate that I/we voted this down a year or so ago and now it's ok against the will of the people. But that's another story.

Depends on what sort of misinformation was used to get the people to vote it down.
And, frankly, it has never occured to me that "winning" a debate is important, or that I should be hurt when someone like Airshark or kah, among others (for whom winning a pseudo debate or declaring intellectual superiority over invisible others is obviously very important) ridicule me.

Well it has passed, but it is also going to be ruled unconstitutional in every county they try to implement it in, so I'd hold off on the gun carry parties just yet.

Yeah, why should the Left respect the prerogative of the legislature?

                            They never have before.

                              the prerogative of the legislature
To overrule the vote of the people?
