    I got a 2006 Stang GT

    Month ago I traded in my POS 1999 mustang GT and bought a 2006 GT. the 2005 plus GTs are ALOT faster, and better style. 2006 gt is 0-60 in 5.1 seconds.

    Did you know Katharine won a mustang on american Idol? It was POS v6 though and she traded it in on a BMW 525 which is a boat and is SLOW.

    That car could not sniff a 5.1 0-60. 5.1 was achieved once, on a track with near perfect conditions, by a professional driver with a manual.
    Average is more toward the 5.5-6.0 second 0-60, especially in less than absolutely ideal conditions.

      To be fair, they probably measure the 0-60 with a pro on a closed course with a manual for every car.

          Some vehicles are pretty close to that no matter what. Staying in the Mustang vein, the 03-04 Cobra was always quite close to its reported 0-60. (Or at least as long as the person had an idea how to launch it).

          Other vehicles, the 05-07 Mustang GT's are an excellent example, tend to be at least a half second off. My CTS-V is another example of this (thanks to unreal wheel hop in the independent rear suspension).

                Depends upon the driver and what has been done to the GTO-J.

                In theory however, the Mustang should be about a second faster.
