| The new site, launching today, allows for fan personalization, more editorial content, pictures, stats and a raft of video programs. The NHL says it is the first sports league to collaborate with Yahoo Sports to develop a co-branded fantasy sports game that uses actual footage within the game. The game uses real NHL video, which players can use to track players' performances, scout players and research players for their rosters. The NHL is also launching a streaming video site within NHL.com, GameCenter Live--a subscription service that enables fans to watch live NHL games. It also has a video highlights area, real-time stats, play-by-play tracking, photos, audio feeds, and social networking.--Karl Greenberg |
