150-200 mile range! Recharges in 6-8 hours! Woo!

How much power does it take to charge 'em up? Am I trading a large gas bill for large electric bill?

Chrysler has managed to keep any information about this from leaking out and will have this vehicle ready to go in less than two years.

        Sure.

Oh sure, but you've got no problem with 'Forester'.

They have been working on it for a while, I know some of the BIG dealers got a look at model some time ago. Hell we built electric vans several years ago.

Not saying they cannot do it at all.
I am saying that if they think they have it advanced far enough along to get it out in two years without enormous problems they have lost their fucking minds.

That was partially why GM told everyone about the Volt when they did...not simply because they wanted the early positive publicity...but because they knew in order to move on in testing and engineering they had to open that can up. I suspect they would have preferred to wait until a bit later to have a more perfected vehicle before letting the rest of the world in on it.

Oh, and GM built the EV1 a long time ago as well.
                              How did that go?
