  • Joel Quenneville has something in common with TLR: DUI

    Cited for DUI

LONE TREE, Colo. (AP) — Former Colorado Avalanche coach Joel Quenneville is due in court next month on a drunken driving charge.

Police in the Denver suburb of Lone Tree say Quenneville was stopped around 8 p.m. Friday for driving without his headlights on. After further investigation, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to use headlights.

Sgt. Dan Seaman says Quenneville's license was confiscated after he refused to take a chemical test.

The Avalanche hired Quenneville in 2004. The team announced in May that he was being replaced by assistant Tony Granato.

Quenneville is due in Douglas County court Oct. 3. A phone number for him could not be found.

The arrest was first reported by KUSA-TV in Denver.

But, seriously, how many people on this forum would have blown a positive for a dui had they just been caught at the right time?

I wish I could say not me, but I'd be lying.

Sure you would. You'd have been using a flashlight out the driver's side window......

Q just turned 50 last Monday....

I got pulled over for driving thru town with my high beams on, having at least 6 BUD ICE's (5.9%)

I luckily talked my way out of a DUI, but any real cop worthy of his badge would've had my ass in cuffs.

So in the state's eyes he admits guilt.

                        My advice, always blow.

The DUI King disagrees with you. He says to NEVER blow.

I don't believe so. He admits nothing yet forfeits his license. But never having been in the situation I'm just guessing.

we don't have a "king" down here, but in some places on the holidays they'll just haul you downtown and if you don't want to breathe, they'll just take your blood
