With all of the demon / hell action going on I wondered when we would see some representation from "above".
Also, how badass is Sam now?!?!

"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live - too rare to die."
Wow. After what I thought was a really subpar post-strike series of episodes, the season 4 premiere was one of the better shows they've done. Absolutely fantastic, can't wait to see where this goes.
Oh, and I knew the name Castiel from the seance, so I sort of guessed where the ep was going...but still, nicely done.
We're now 5 episodes into Season 4. Over the past few seasons, a whole lot of the creative folks behind X-Files and Buffy have come on board, and the quality is really paying off.
There are a lot of shows like Lost or the aforementioned X-Files that make a lot of promises and leave tantalizing clues with their "mythos" episodes, but very, very few that really follow through with paying off those bets. Kudos to Supernatural's writers and producers for doing just that this season.
This is some pretty special television happening on this show right now; you hear folks talk about seasons 2 and 3 of The X-Files, or seasons 3 & 4 of Buffy or Angel in tones of wonder...well, that's what season 4 of Supernatural is shaping up as so far.
Damn it...this has been my favorite TV show for the past few years...I really like Season 3 and loved the ending of Season 3...and was wondering how they could get Dean out of Hell.
And..Dean is awesome. His character is great and the actor plays him so well.

My son Deric and I are HUGE Supernatural fans (thanks to CSD for turning me onto the show from day 1). We were at the Blues game Thursday night and he was freaked out...we had to call and make sure the DVR was recording the show...thankfully, it was. I loved the last episode, I thought the writing for it was brilliant...the kids didn't understand why I loved it so much, so I had to explain a lot of things to them. I distinctly remember saying to the kids, “This has an X-File’s feel to it”…w/in a couple of minutes, an X-File reference was made on the show…I just about fell off the couch.

At the end of Supernatural 4x06 Yellow Fever (9/8 p.m. Thursday), fans will get to see the result of an on-set practical joke as series star Jensen Ackles lip-syncs the song "Eye of the Tiger."
Ackles' video, running about 90-seconds, will air at the end of the episode and then presumably go viral on the Internet among his adoring female fans.
According to a publicist for the show, it all began as a prank that co-star Jared Padalecki decided to pull on Ackles:
They were filming a scene of "Yellow Fever" in which Sam (Jared's character) returns to their parked car where Dean (Jensen's character) has been waiting and hears "Eye of the Tiger" blaring.
When Sam looks in the car he finds Dean laying down on the front seat, eyes closed, air-drumming and singing along to the song. Jared's cue to Jensen to open his eyes and stop was to tap on the roof of the car. Jared told the crew that he wasn't going to give the cue and to just keep rolling and see what Jensen would do...and so a classic interpretation of Survivor's hit song was born!

I got "caught up" on this w/the DVR last night...WOW - just WOW...The Season Finale is really going to kick ass this year (not that it hasn't in the past). I just hope they are able to follow up next season with the same, if not more intensity as this season (although, I can see where they are going to take next season w/Sam and Ruby).
