Yeah, another KW thread, but I dont think I have ever started one here.....

I hate the folks that compare KW and Bulger. I mean, KW would be dead by now if he were playing in this system with this line. So you cant compare them.

My question....what will it take to get Kurt in HoF? A division winning season where AZ wins 11 or 12 and he throws 35 tds and wins his 3rd MVP? A super bowl trip? A SB win with AZ?

What does he need? I mean, baseball stats are easier to bank on what a guy needs for cooperstown, but football can be tricky.

Warner would need to get to 30,000 yards - Lead the Cardinals deep into the playoffs for the next 2 years and add another 45 touchdowns.

It takes more than 4 good seasons to be a HOFer IMO. He still needs another 2 or 3 VERY good years to get in. He did well last year when being called upon and has started very well this year. But he's got a long way to go before we talk HOF with him.

He is currently 3rd in all time passer rating, whatever that means and is about to pass Manning for second.

He was 250 yards away from Marino's single season yards mark, I wish he would have broken that, that would have helped his case. That was more yards than Brady threw last year.

He threw 300 yards 8 times in 2000, 9 times in 99 and 2001 - thats second and third all time. 6 consecutive 300 yard games in 2000 - tied for first all time.

If he gets 3k yards this year with 24 more tds and then plays next year somewhere and gets 2500 and 20 tds....he will hit 30k yards and 200 tds. I guess thats good enough to get him in. I cant really find a site that compares HoF qb numbers like baseball has.

Long way to go and fun to think about. I am just glad he is starting this year considering this summer they said Lienart had the job and it was his to lose.
