  • GDT (L): Cards in the desert against the Dbacks

    Let's take the rubber game!

(My first GDT since 2006. Let's win this one.)

    Lohse vs. Davis:

    Cardinals probable pitcher

    Kyle Lohse

    • #26 RHP
    • (13-6) 3.89 ERA 99 SO
Cardinals: Lohse ended a string of so-so performances his last time out, but he still couldn't get a win. He was outstanding in Houston, allowing two runs over eight innings, but a late game-tying homer cost him the W. Still, there's reason to be at least somewhat concerned. Lohse has been much, much better at home (3.16 ERA) than on the road (4.97), and he has a lifetime 5.50 ERA at Chase Field.

    Diamondbacks probable pitcher

    Doug Davis

    • #49 LHP
    • (6-8) 4.59 ERA 98 SO
D-backs: Davis had a decent outing his last start, tossing five innings, allowing just two runs on eight hits and three walks, and he picked up the win against the Dodgers. Davis seems to be back on track after scuffling in three straight starts, allowing 16 runs in 11 innings. The left-hander is 4-5 with a 5.05 ERA in 13 career games against the Cardinals.

      Ugh, you're right.

I've tried to erase that awful game from my memory.

It didn't happen. It didn't happen. It didn't happen....

I will be in front of my tv watching the Redbirds continue the beatdown of the D'bags. Last night was a great game to attend.

Maybe Glaus will go on another tear for the next week or so.

His HR last night was a rope.

Dear God, KBF here. I'd just like to say thanks, once again, for allowing Dusty Baker and I to live during the same time period. Every time I think he's given me his last gift -- overpitching Prior in the playoffs, getting cocky in Game 6 vs. the Angels, blowing another game for the Cubs -- he does something stupid like pitching to Albert Pujols. Thy will be done, baby!!!!!

Snakes had men on 1st and 3rd with Dunn and Reynolds coming up. Lohse fanned them both, plunked Chad Tracy, and then got out of it on a nifty snag by Glaus.

Flip Lopez with a terrible play in left field, Drew credited with a double.

Lohse gets out of, end 5, 2-0 Cardinals.

So, I haven't been watching our boys as closely these last few weeks due to work and such. Since when did Troy Glaus become our #2 hitter?
