West bound and down, eighteen wheels are rollin' ,
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm west bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on your trail.
He aint gonna rest 'til you're in jail.
So you got to dodge 'im and you got to duck 'im,
you got to keep that diesel truckin'.
Just put that hammer down and give it hell.

The best scene with Snowman was when he ran over all those motorcycles when those biker assholes were messing with his dog Sam and ganged up on Snowman.
“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

I have to comment on this. Loved his music and he was an amazing guy, I was one of the unlucky of my friends that didn't get to meet him. My friend at the time was his Grandson, so it was strange to walk in his house and see Jerry Reed's family photos everywhere. I grew up loving Smokey and The Bandit, as any kid does in The South... it is part of the culture now. "Sum Bitch" is now said seriously lol. Like I said I never got to meet him, bad timing ...but my friends that did said he was one of the nicest and friendliest people you could meet.

So long to one of the best country guitarist and song writers of the 70's and 80's and a hack of a character actor!

                            Dog's name was Fred.

Duh, I knew that... when I was little we had a dog just like "Fred", and his name was Sam, hence the confusion.
