  • The 2008 Mizzou Tigers: March towards the BCS

1 Game down, 13 to go.

Chase reminds me so much of Tom Brady. If its 3rd and 8, he is hitting his TE or slot for 9 yards and not a damn thing you can do about it.

And you cannot get to Chase. He's 9 yards behind the line and quick as can be. Much like Brady, hard to get a hand on/sack.

Take out Texas and its a dance with Oklahoma or the likes and a NC date......

Defense needs some work, cant give up tons of points to an SEC team if you face them in NC game or its over. However, if you can put up a couple TDs they cant comeback. I think a date with an SEC school would be fun to watch. NFL type D vs the Chase machine. Could be fun to watch.

Will be bumping this thread every week. The road to the National title game against Georgia/LSU/Florida/USC/Ohio State rolls on....

    Next up, Semo.

This is uncharted territory we're embarking on here...never in any of our lifetimes have we seen the talent, expectations and possibilities come out of Columbia that are there now...

As surreal as that brief moment was last year when there was an outside chance that Mizzou would be in the Big Game, it's even moreso now...it's not just a fleeting thought anymore...

The Missouri Tigers (fingers crossed) have a good chance to play for the national freaking title this year...(oh Sweet Jesus, I feel like a Cub fan in May... )

Saw your schedule today while watching the end of the game. Talk about cushy. Three ranked teams? No Oklahoma? Missouri is certainly set up well to play for the national championship.

It is pretty cushy...I'm not a fan of that trend in college football, so I'm glad they started out by beating a top 25 team...now they can tune up on a few cupcakes and prepare for the Mack Brown Smackdown...

Better hope that defense gets a lot better.
          Good luck.

That defense just needs to figure out how to not give up long passes. Outside of the blown coverages in the second half the defense was pretty good for the game.

Chase Daniel compared to Tom Brady.

                Yep, it's already gotten ridiculous.

That's really not that much of a stretch.

They aren't playing the Missouri State High School Championships there this year?

I said something like "too bad this will be the best crowd and game the dome will see all season" to the people I was with last night.

Bears fans will turn the place into Soldier Field south.

Much like the Packers turned it into Lambeau South last year.

In terms of what I said.......it fits. Dispute it. He needs 5 he gets 6 every time. Thats what Brady does every sunday. He doesnt get hit, nor does Brady. These are the only similiarities.

Thats it. He is nowhere near Brady in his abilities.

Don't know if it'll have the same opposition turn out with the Rams making some of those games a part of a package to buy...
