  • Economy Grew 3.3% Last Quarter

Good news for America means bad news for the dems. Watching their convention, you would think that the Great Depression was just a hiccup compared to these perilous economic times.

The Commerce Department reported Thursday that gross domestic product, or GDP, increased at a 3.3 percent annual rate in the April-June quarter. The revised reading was much better than the government's initial estimate of a 1.9 percent pace and exceeded economists' expectations for a 2.7 percent growth rate.

Anyway, this is good news -- and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Tell that to the many people who have lost their houses. Or their jobs.
“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

Ok. "Hey you people that lost your houses or jobs: the economy is starting to rebound."

That is good news. I hope the stock market responds by regaining the losses of the past six months.

I think this is an awesome, winning strategy right here. John McCain hits the stump every day and tells his audience and the country at large "Folks, this economy is doing well; just this quarter alone it rebounded by 3.3%." People will realize "Hey, he's right. Things are a lot better than we thought!" McCain can tell that to workers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Michigan, where such a message is sure to be a winner and resonate with the whiny voters in those states who won't shut up about rising unemployment rates. McCain will set them straight and make "3.3 percent!" a rallying cry among the blue collar and union workers across this fair land. Barack Obama won't be able to pick apart that claim, either, and John McCain, riding a wave of popular support from people who have suddenly realized how wonderful the last 8 years have been, will win in an electoral landslide in November.

That is some GREAT news FAR. Awesome!

Don't you just love it? Good news that that economy is growing again -- something that everyone should be happy about -- is met with angst, cynicism and even some anger by the LC crowd. It must be tough to be so angry all of the time. I honestly don't know how you guys do it.
