Obviously I'm biased but I didn't think the Mizzou - Illinois line would stay that high. Here's hoping that 8.5 spread gives my Illini a little bit more of an edge to themselves.

If you want to win actual money, you should bet on Mizzou. It's going to get ugly, dhaab. (All in good fun, of course... )

I really like Utah here. They're a fine team and will beat Michigan straight up.

I agree that Utah should be a very good team this year. Not sure that they'll beat Michigan, and I don't really care one way or another, but it sure would be interesting to see what would happen if Blue lost two season/home openers in a row to so-called "lesser" teams. Mass hysteria in the streets of Ann Arbor!

So, dvyyyy, where in Vegas are you thinking of catching the game? Bally's has a nice sports book. But you may want to go to the ESPN Zone for this one.

I want sound. Was wondering about that too. Thoughts?

This one might actually be ugly. The M OL was thin and experienced going in, and has suffered a couple of injuries on top of it. A walk-on is the likely starting QB. And then there's the whole adjusting to the brand new, completely different offense thing. Michigan is going to have to win with its defense for the 1st month, which fortunately should be very good.

Hmmm. Not sure. I mean, I think some books will use sound on the big games, and I would consider this a big game obviously. Also, I might be mistaken, but I thought ESPN Zones played sound on big ones as well.

Sorry I can't be of any help. I go to Vegas fairly often, but usually, I'm not watching too many sports. I'm drinking like a fish.

I plan on doing both. I was thinking there was another pretty good game at the same time as the Mizzou game. Hmmm.
