They want to make the playoffs, imo.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

Did Colletti fall asleep when it came time to put in a claim on Adam Dunn?

            Maddux is done.

Mick Jagger is in better shape than far too many NBA players. It's up in the air whether the same can be said of Keith Richards.

I thought so too, but he's actually been pretty good this year. He's 28th in the NL in ERA (among starters), and the wide strike zone he gets certainly could play a role in the playoffs.

It all depends on what the Dodgers are giving up I suppose.

Didn't the Cardinals slap him around earlier this year? A sure sign he's done.

He's been at about league average or so for a couple years with flashes of better than that. He is a solid #3 for most rotations. I don't know the Dodgers rotation enough to know who he is replacing or know how much better he will be.

As he cleared waivers, anyone could have a put a claim on him. He, of course, had to approve of where he was going.

Yep. He's being passed around like a crack ho the past 5 years or so. Not to mention his physique has gone to hell. Have some pride, Greg!

This move was a result of Brad Penny going on the DL with shoulder problems again. The Dodgers are saying the only way he'll make it back this season is if he can pitch out of the bullpen.
