I'd rarely lose the audio, but the picture often froze. The pitcher would freeze mid windup and then I'd hear the smack or the crack depending on contact and find out what happened from the announcers.

Ah ... maybe that was my problem.

I think the commercials are even a few db quieter than the game audio

If you've gotten premium, DEFINITELY got get MLBTV Mosiac - it's a free download with premium and allows you to watch 6 games at one time, and when you only have 1 game up it can go up to 1.2 MB quality stream.

The one thing I don't like about it is that often there's a lot of empty space around the edges of the screen - like they couldn't get the format right or something. That means that full screen often isn't.

    started a topic mlb.tv premium

    mlb.tv premium

I've had regular mlb.tv the last few years. Initially I subscribed only to fill in the gaps, so I could watch the Cards from the office or elsewhere when I wasn't home. But this year I have ditched the cable service so no more Extra Innings, it's all mlb.tv for me now.

I've been kind of fed up with not so much the low quality of the feed, but the fact that it seemed to always freeze when there was action. Like when the pitcher is in mid-windup, outfielders going after the ball, etc.

So yesterday I took the plunge and plopped down the extra $5 month for premium.

Huuuge diff. Well more than $5 worth of difference.

It's probably a scam but already paying $15 for crap, I might as well pay $20 for quality. Feels well worth it to me.

I apologize for such the wordy review
