  • Kev is Correct: Obama is Toast

What was I thiking? White people aren't going to allow Obama to win. To wit:

STURGIS, S.D. - Thousands of motorcyclists greeted Republican presidential candidate John McCain with an approving roar Monday as he sought blue-collar and heartland support by visiting a giant motorcycle rally.

"As you may know, not long ago a couple hundred thousand Berliners made a lot of noise for my opponent. I'll take the roar of 50,000 Harleys any day," McCain said, referring to Democrat Barack Obama's recent visit to the German capital.

It's just starting. I've been out and about lately -- family reunions, funerals, company parties -- and you can hear that the ads are working. "I like him, but I just don't know...." "How much do we really know about this guy?" "McCain seems like more of a leader....."

They appeared to be looking for an excuse not to vote for Obama.

Yes, small sample size. BUT IT"S NEVER TOO LATE TO PANIC!!!!!!!

That's the beauty of it. He doesn't have to just come out and say it. It's always there. I'm guessing he'll next appear at the Wonder Bread factory.

The thing about this is, John McCain apparently feels it necessary to put in a campaign stop in South Dakota.

I see harley owners of this blue collar rock ribbed heartland almost every night. They are tolerated---with a subtle feeling of annoyance by most people.

This does not help or particularly hurt McCain. But there is nothing that special about them.

Don't think of it as South Dakota. Think of it as White America.

You're missing the big picture. This wasn't about getting the biker vote.
