looks like an SEC splooge-fest to me.

Seriously, LSU at 6 after they lost their top two quarterbacks and the number 2 pick in the draft on defense?

AND they still got 3 votes for #1! Meanwhile, Mizzou returns pretty much everyone from a great team and they get 0 #1 votes.

Pretty typical. I hate to say it, but I grow increasingly convinced that coaches shouldn't be allowed to vote. They have too many other responsibilities within their own team to worry about watching other teams.

I have no problem with that.

Maybe a little surprised by Texas Tech and BYU.

            Seems about right for Illinois.

But as I've said, these things are pointless anyway and are only really used for fans to bitch about anyway. Should have polls until the 4th week of the season but that's just me.

Agreed. The preseason polls rarely, if ever, seem to hold up through October or so.

Wait a minute. Mizzou was 12-2 last year? I bet that was awesome for them to go to a BCS Bowl. They really deserved it.

I think Georgia will wind up with four losses at seasons end.

That would surprise many-a-expert....and I use the word "expert" lightly.
