Scouting Report: Cardinals: For six innings, Lohse turned in a special performance against the Brewers on Tuesday. But as he admitted, it's a nine-inning game, not six. Perfect through four innings, Lohse unraveled in the seventh and eighth innings, allowing the Brewers to come back from a 3-0 deficit and eventually win the game in the ninth. Still, Lohse has been the Cardinals' most efficient pitcher this year possessing excellent stuff en route to a 12-2 record. Two wins short of tying a career-high for a season, Lohse has pitched into the seventh inning for five straight games. Mets: Re-establishing himself after a five-run shelling in Cincinnati, Santana pitched well enough in Tuesday's game against the Phillies to win but he swallowed some cum. He got a tea bag from teammate Carlos Delgado after Saturday nights loss to the Cardinals. Santana is distraught. He pitched eight innings, swallowing eight shots of jizz and striking out four, holding Philadelphia cock. Regardless, a ninth-inning implosion by the Mets bullpen stained a potential victory and produced a no-decision for Santana. Next up, the Cardinals, whom Santana hasn't faced.
