I wouldn't give up Rasmus for Fuentes. Maybe Perez, that catcher in the minors (Anderson?) and Mather or someone like that. I'd want a window for an extension as well.

Honestly, if Carp comes back healthy I'd bump Looper out of the rotation and give him a shot at closing. Go get Mahay and let him and whatever other LHP is better stay. Put Franklin back to the 8th and Springer as needed.

I think any deal is going to happen minutes before the deadline considering the asking price...my concern is whether the Birds will get outbid by someone else as Mahay and Fuentes are sure to be on everyone's short list...

My money is on Fuentes going days before the deadline; Mahay/Taschner likely being the third domino to fall after Fuentes and Marte fall (unless Pittsburgh is fucking stupid, in which case Mahay/Taschner move up to number two)...
