StL Area Casino Buffets

Figured I'd ask some folks who I know spend some time in casinos.

Some friends and I are planning on going to a casino this weekend and to say we're not gamblers would be like saying Mark Mulder has been a disappointment. What we're most interested in is the buffets, with a little gambling after gorging ourselves.

So, based on the buffets, what are your suggestions, Ameristar, Harrahs, Lumiere?

I have been to the Ameristar on a weekend several years ago. It was a steak and shrimp buffet, excellent selection and food.

Also, someone told me that one of these had an ice cream bar, with all kinds of different ice cream and fixings, etc. Which one is that?

I don't know about around here....but the Harrah's buffet in Tunica is to DIE for. I'm like you, not a gambler per se but I love to eat

Harrah's in Tunica is almost worth the drive for the Buffet....it's a Paula Deen theme, everything is Southern cooking. I think I went to the buffet 5 times, including desert of course.

I wnet to the Harrah's buffet in Kansas City back in May. It was on their King Crablegs night. It was great.

I've only been to the Ameristar one, and only for brunch... but it's probably the best buffet I have ever been too. Then again, most buffet food sucks.

I have not been in Lumier though.

The poker room buffet at the President is rather sinctilating to the senses too.

Yo. I thought it was pretty good. Lots of diverse choices, from good ol' homestyle, to Asian, Italian, and all kinds of stuff. The thing I like about Harrah's is they constantly change what they offer at the buffet, so you never get tired of eating the same stuff every time.
