  • Cards @ Cubs Aug. 8/9/10

Going to be in Chicago that weekend and had a few questions.....

What is the very best way to get these well overpriced tickets?
Craigs list? USA tickets? Ebay? Scalpers? Stub hub?

I really dont want to try to get tickets at the damn stadium, no sense wasting time and effort getting their only to be killed by the price. That and isnt Illinois state law that the seller AND buyer get busted for paying over face? I could be wrong on that.....

I have also heard taht the shops around Wrigley usually sell tons of tickets on game days.....but not sure about STL games. They are usually gone.

Any chance of buying Standing room only tix at the gates?

Which section should I look for to avoid lame ass obstructions - the very top deck?

Never been to wrigley before and hope my first game is a Cards win, with edmonds hitting 4 grand slams in the process.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I am not at all familiar with Chi-Town.

I actually really want to go too and I might try to organize a group.

When me, 007, Steve, and Jack headed to Chicago I found some decently priced tickets on ebay, but the Cubs were like 6 games out in early June when I purchased them...so I'm sure things would be much different now.
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

Stubhub worked for a buddy of mine who got some. Not sure if he overpaid or not, though.

If he used Stubhub, he overpaid.

I've never purchased from there, but I have seen really cheap tickets on stubhub. Granted they weren't Cubs tickets, but still.

I live in Chicago near Wrigley, but I will not help you unless you remove that signature.
            Of course you do.

Even if a mod did it, you can take it down. I've got some good info.
                  Of course you do.

Someone's gonna get bent over on Clark and Addison...figuratively.

And then bent over at Halsted and Addison...literally.
                    Of course you do.

That was the game where the Cubs fans kept shouting toward nate and I that, "I am so glad that Darryl Kile died of a heart attack."

And that "this is EXACTLY the way I wanted the game to go." And then the 7-1 comeback, Pujols' hrs, So's game-tying hr. How sweet it was.

                          Nate shouting, "TEN GAMES!"

I have tickets for the Friday game.

They aren't for sale, but figured I would mention it.

I was able to walk up and buy standing room seats last year, but it was April.
