  • Cards have second best record in NL,

After 90 + loss predictions from all of the "experts". And for their great first half they rate a B+ from this guy at Yahoo:

We don't grade on a curve, and that's why only the Rays get an A-plus while three teams are given Fs.

So my question is, do you agree? Me personally I thought they'd be a losing team so I give them an A.

Well, all the teams rated above the Cards are AL teams except for the lone NL team with a better record than us...

You are apparently the only one. Any time I post something it gets about 2-3 responses and dies. It feels like high school all over...

          kjoe?

I like it, too, and I don't see how the Cards can receive any grade other than an A.
When you say to your neighbor, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's alright with you," what you really mean is, "We're having a loud party on Saturday night."

It depends on what you are using for your baseline of grading...if it's versus the pre-season predictions and expectations, then yeah, they should get an A...but if you recognize that the team is actually better than advertised, and then considered all the missed opportunities (e.g. blown saves), then they probably are about a B+...

I base it on the fact that at the beginning of the year I thought the only legit starter on the staff was AW and had no confidence in Mulder, Clement or Carp pitching this year.
