When you are a good team - you look for opportunites to play and test yourself. The 2008 Cardinals were not supposed to be a good team. They were suppossed to be an also ran. Actually 500 was supposed to be a challenge for them. So finding themselves 12 games up in late June is kinda of unbelievable - save for the Fellowship of the Ring that hangs out at the lounge.
We saw this coming because of their early schedule - and we also saw the coming of the hard schedule that begins in Mid June and last until August. A schedule with very very few chances to steal some games for a variety of reasons. Other than completely not hitting vs KC so far so good. Now the challenge ahead.
2 more in Detroit - Detroit is playing much better of late.
3 at KC - They are probably the hottest team in baseball now
3 vs the Mets - I hate it when we play after the manager is fired well at least they gave us a week.
3 vs Satan (Cubs) - Been chasing them all season - they finally showed a crack with Zambrano getting hurt.
3 at Phil - That be the first place Phils - Back to Back division leaders
3 at Pitt - Um ahead of the Stros now no push over

3 vs San Diego - How mad will they still be?
4 vs Brewers - Sheets is starting to dominate - but I don't think they are where they thought they'd be.
3 at the Mets - Hopefully there will be out of it - but I doubt it.
3 at the Braves - Same thing.
If we can come out of that near 10 games up we will be fine.
