I know he sucks right now. And deserves some of the abuse since he's not hitting but back when he was hitting last year or in '06 he'd go 3-4 with a HR and 3 RBI's and 2 threads would be started over there saying how he took a bad route to a fly ball that he ended up catching.

Yep. I remember a game in which he made two outstanding defensive plays, but went 0 - 3 with a BB. The Cards won 5 - 2, yet there were a few jabs about his lack of offensive production.

I think he has the skills to be a servicable major leaguer, but he'd be better off in another uniform. Short of hitting the World Series winning homer, he'll always be on the recieving end of much silliniess from this fanbase.

Yup. The funny part is that if his last name wasn't Duncan, people would love his work ethic, effort, etc...that the media always hammers on about him. The guy appears to bust his tail off for the team and doesn't just assume anything.
