  • Anti Virus Downloads

    The anti-virus program that i got for free w/ my new laptop is out of date. It's Trend but I went to buy it and they want $80. Sorry.

    Name some other, cheaper, programs out there and how youse feel about them.

      I've heard good things about AVG free edition. Get the separate spyware module too.

                  You use Charter internet, right? They offer a an anti-virus/spyware program 'free' (it's actually included in the monthly bill) that's really not that bad - it uses the F-Secure engine of which I've been a fan for years.

                  It's called the Charter High-Speed Security Suite and it's available on your Charter homepage after you log in. Just look for "Get Security Suite" under the "My account & Help Section"

                  Your monthly bill includes five licenses for the tool.

                      Yeah, I use AVG. Easy to use, unobtrusive and I haven't had any virus trouble in the 2 years I have used it.
