You let him be the 4th or 5th OFer and backup 1B and a left handed power bat off the bench...

        Oh wait...
You're being fucking dramatic. You own a TV and an air mattress. That's not exactly what I'd call "a lot to lose."

Put him on the DL for a cut on his hand until he decides he will use his Hitaway every day.

Well - what do you expect when you cut his best friend for simply drinking too much?

I think it's too early to write him off.
                  Of course you do.

He needs to get some ABs to fix his problems...

we should have traded him when his value was highest (and I have believed that ever since he got hot in the majors). As for now, I don't really care what they do. It's actually pretty funny to me to watch him continue to play a lot. If you picture the benny hill music in the background when he's fielding, then you can laugh instead of cuss.

                            I agree.

I'll admit that I haven't been paying that close of attention to him, but he had a pretty good April at the plate and an awful May, if I'm not mistaken.

He sucks at defense, but that's not why he's on the team, right? I think he can get back to normal and be used as the lefty off the bench and hit well. I don't think it's fair not to allow him more time to do that. 1 more month? If he's .200 over the next month, then probably write him off.

All that said, I agree with CG - in retrospect we should have sold high.
                            Of course you do.
