Poll Time: Lets Make a Deal for a Defenseman
While I attempt to catch up on some much needed rest (long week... don't ask), it seemed like a good opportunity to take some time to ponder a statement Hextall told season ticket holders on Tuesday. First, that most draft type transactions start within 48 hours of the draft. Second, the Kings were looking to trade for a young defenseman between now and the draft.
In defining "young defenseman", Hextall specifically said that 30 year olds with 1 year left on their contract do not count. No details beyond that were offered. There is also a interesting post on letsgokings.com that would be fun to debate. Is there any current player in the NHL (forget Malkin, Crosby and Ovechkin) that you would trade in exchange for the Kings' #2 pick in the NHL draft.
So... on a dark rainy Los Angeles day, lets make a deal..... Any takers?

Would they take Brewer? Would the note give up Brewer?
