All along, I thought it was a mental block for the Blues that prevented them from beating the Red Wings. As it turns out, it was Quenneville.
I'm not too sad that the Avs didn't make it to the conference finals. They tired their best to buy it by acquiring everybody who was available from their last Cup.
Anybody think Quenneville will land in Toronto? I do.

For more than 20 years I have endeavored-indeed, I have struggled-along with a majority of this Court, to develop procedural & substantive rules that would lend more than the mere appearance of fairness to the death penalty endeavor.
I feel morally and intellectually obligated simply to concede that the death penalty experiment has failed.
The path the Court has chosen lessens us all. I dissent.

If you did not imply the latter statement, then I apologize. If you did mean to imply that Murray is a better post-season coach, then that is clearly wrong. From this day forward, I no longer shall tinker with the machinery of death.

Let's be fair though.
The Avs were decimated with injuries against a team that I think should win the cup. If they had all their players healthy and fell to the Wings like they did, then this is a more justified firing.
JQ can't help it that Theodore and Budaj couldn't stop anything and that the injury bug bit them hard
