I think Coldplay lost me as a fan with X&Y.

Second week of June 05, my family drove to Philadelphia. All we listened to - the whole way - was the two disc Styx Greatest Hits and X&Y. I'm not sure why people hate it so much.

X&Y was anthemic, boring crap compared to Parachutes and Parachutes Part Deux (Rush of Blood).

They went soft and the lyrics are pretty ghey.

                A lot of recycled material.

This explains a lot about your parents' divorce.

I thought Glovey would be skeeting about the new Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photoshoot.

See, I'm a pretty casual Coldplay fan, but I didn't think they sounded all that different.

I must also qualify my comments in that I am a music snob who claims they found Coldplay....in that I bought their album before it was popular and saw them in a wee venue.

I also found The Strokes and Kings of Leon, who I saw in venues of 100 people.

I am in a slump this year.

I'm not about to pay that much for a Coldplay album.

I just gave the song a listen on Myspace. It's certainly...different. And not in a good way.
