    I concur with Funkay's assessment -

Might I say - Go great first round.

And to the Loungers with dogs in the fight - good luck.

Going to be some late nights next week. I usually need booze to calm myself during playoff basketball. Can't really do that on school nights with how busy work is these days.

I have low expectations for the Rockets.

          Alston being out is bad.

The Jazz getting every call at home (see home/road splits) because there goofy ass fans can sway the calls of horrible officials due to their crazy energy from have so much pent up energy from not being able to booze, drink sodas, smoke, gamble, curse, turn on the oven during certain days, wear sexy clothes, have bad thoughts etc., etc. is bad

My overall hate of the Jazz is bad

          Just a bad matchup overall

The NBA does a lot of stupid shit and at the top of the list is the playoff schedule. Too many off days to try to get in as many Laker games as possible in Prime Time.

I'd say it was the worst issue with the NBA until I remember Bennett Salvatore is still in the league.

Obviously, I think San Antonio-Phoenix is the best first round series. I think the Spurs are still the team to beat in the playoffs but there is one team in the whole league I would pick them to lose against: Phoenix. The Suns dominated them twice after getting Shaq and beating the Spurs was the whole reason they traded for Shaq.

Against any of the other 15 teams, I would pick the Spurs. But not against Phoenix.

I like New Orleans, Utah and the Lakers along with Phoenix in the West. Out East, I think Boston sweeps, Detroit wins in six, Orlando wins in seven and Cleveland wins in seven.

In the second round, I think the Lakers beat the Jazz in six and the Suns beat the Hornets in six even though I know Chris Paul usually throws up a 23-17 every time he faces the Suns. I think Boston beats Cleveland in six and Detroit beats Orlando in seven in the East.

In the conference finals, everyone gets their dream Kobe-Shaq matchup in the West with the Lakers winning in seven. In the East, Boston beats Detroit in seven.

In the Finals, I'm taking the Lakers in seven for one reason and one reason only: Phil Jackson is 20 times the coach Doc Rivers is.

But if San Antonio beats Phoenix, I think the Spurs win their fifth title.

Go Suns. Or if not them, go anyone but SA and Det in the finals.

The Suns are whipping the Spurs so far 39-26. The Spurs are the whiniest bunch of players I've ever seen. They whine even when the call is obvious. Its one reason why I dont like them.
“I’ve always stated, ‘I’m a Missouri Tiger,’” Anderson said March 13 after Arkansas fired John Pelphrey, adding, “I’m excited about what’s taking place here.”

Asked then if he would talk to his players about the situation, he said, “They know me, and that’s where the trust comes in.

Are Funkay and I the only ones rooting for the defending champs?

                            Go, Spurs!
