  • Golf Shoes... Recommendations

I am, for the first time evah, going to purchase a pair of golf shoes.

I don't want to pay much more than $100 for the shoes.

Any golfers out there recommend a certain pair? The only huge requirement (aside from cost) is that they should be comfortable enough to walk a course.

And I am clearly pissed that it's gonna be nice out on Wednesday and I won't be out golfing.

I usually go barefoot or wear just regular old go-fasters. No pair of shoes will help my sorry game.

      DryJoys.

Expensive and worth every penny. I bought my third pair a month ago or so and got to use them for the first time this weekend. Comfortable as hell and kept me completely dry.

      I can't recommend them enough.

          Agreed...

I did like Snoedeker's shoes yesterday...looked like Adidas...

I just usually go with the best price and the shoe that is made by the brand that I buy all of my other shoes from ie Adidas.

These are the ones I got (in the white/amber).

I was willing to look at other shoes in the shop too...I tried on some of the best from Adidas, Ecco, Etonic, HI-TEC, and Callaway. Soem felt better than others, but none were so much better that I was willing to get away from the DryJoys.

After playing one round with the DryJoys on Friday, I have to say I'm thrilled with my purchase. They're comfortable right out of the box, completely stable in my swing, and kept me nice and dry. They're great shoes.

Oh, and I bought a pair of Nike golf shoes once. They sucked ass....and they were expensive too.

BBZ is correct. DryJoys are the cadillac of golf shoes and they are amazingly comfortable right out of the box. Years ago, you had to "break in" golf shoes and the first few rounds would produce feet blisters. But that isn't the case anymore. I've worn Foot Joy golf shoes for over 10 years now and I've never been disappointed. My current pair cost me about $140 and they were worth every penny.

                  Yup. FootJoy or DryJoy.

I bought a pair of Etonics once because I liked the way they looked....my feet hurt thinking about them.

Already you're pushing him over his price cap.

                      Fine.

If you don't play often and only ride when you do, go to Sports Authority and find a cheap pair. You can still get a nice brand.

If I ride everytime I golf then I'd spend just as much money at the end of the season on a cart as I would on a pair of Tiger Woods specials.

I'll go to Dick's Sporting Goods either tonight or (probably) tomorrow and try the shoes out. Maybe the salesperson will let me stand in a puddle to test the waterproof feature out.

                          I too like my DryJoy's.
                          Best. Golf. Shoe. Period.
                          But, as stated, very pricey.

I do though like the Nike as well.

I have several pairs that I rotate.
I keep going back to the Nike's though for comfort.
They don't protect from water like DryJoy's though.
So, if its rainy, or grounds wet, I don't wear the Nike.

There are various different models of Foot Joy golf shoes for under $100.
