  • Cowboy Joe West

As discussed on the Cardinals radio broadcast last night.

What do you do after a long, hot night of hard umpiring? If you're cool, you sing country-western.

Joe's peers in baseball regard him as one of the finest umpires in Major League Baseball, and now his singing and songwriting, are making him a successful artist, songwriter, and entertainer in the Country Music Industry. Joe West has become a star in two fields of entertainment, Country Music and Major League Baseball.

On the drive home from work Milo went out for a good 6 minutes about Cowboy Joe West and his CD. I think some runs scored that inning. Not sure.

Joe's peers are either morons or never consented to having their reputation tarnished by declaring Joe as one of the finest umpires in Major League Baseball.

"Joes Peers" are major league umpires.

            In other words, morons.

He's a horrible umpire. One of the shortest fuses of any of them. Plus, will goad a guy into continuing an argument rather than walking away. It's almost like he enjoys the confrontations.

They don't think he's a good umpire. They are referring to the fact that he's an amazingly good looking dude.

I was going to go with "blind" but figured that'd put it right on a tee. At least you had to work for it

IMO, JW's one of the better umpires at getting the call right, however like it was mentioned earlier, he just loves to get into confrontations on the field. He doesn't know how to turn his back and walk away,
