OK - I just had ESPNews on for about 2 hours in the background and I never saw a single Cardinals highlight. I saw the Mets-Braves 3 times, the White Sox a at least twice, Tigers twice and the cubs about 3 times. I also rewound by 30 minutes 2 or 3 times to make sure I didn't just miss it and I still didn't see anything. Not even a score.

    WTF? Am I missing something?
    Of course you do.

No Berkman today and it has already hurt the Astros. 2nd and 3rd with no outs when Berkman's spot in the order comes up. His replacement strikes out which is followed by a fly out double play. 4th DP by Houston in the past 10 innings. Good times.

He hopes to be back tomorrow for the start of the St. Louis series. The starting 3rd baseman is out as well.

The world is right again. Astros loss a one run ball game.

Yesterday the hitting shows up but lose while scoring 7 runs. Today they get solid pitching by only allowing 3 runs, but still find a way to lose.

They just can't match their shit up. Like last year I'm guessing this is going to be a constant theme.

Zito blows it again. Not a bad performance by him, by his recent standards...5 IP, 5R, 3ER, 8 hits, 2 BBs, 3Ks...

No offense at all from the Giants. Sheets pitches a CG shutout. 7-0 Final.

Bleah. This team looks to be exactly as pathetic as was originally feared.

How do you ruin the best show on ESPN, "Baseball Tonight"?

Let Chris Berman host it. "Brandon Backe Backe Backe Backe..."

You would have made a lot of money if you bet the Detroit Tigers would be the last team without a win.

One week into the season and both teams from the state of Missouri are in first place.

Swisher leadoff homerun, he could really be a stud in that spot.

Hey Sheriff....what's been up with Oswalt so far this year? Just a couple sub par outings? Still throwing as hard as normal? Haven't seen him throw myself but going by the numbers, he's been very hittable. But I know, a lot of the time, numbers don't show everything. What's been the deal?

He is still throwing hard and the fastball looks good. The problem has been the curve as he just can't get it over for a strike. There was some speculation the weather may have been a factor as it has been a little cold and wet during the road trip. Kind of a pisser because he had a very nice spring. I think in his second to last start he no-hit the Braves for 6 innings.

We'll see how he does at home were he has dominated over the years. If he has a couple of off home starts then it is time to worry. One thing to watch out for is his health. On Saturday the train came out for a brief visit. Nothing came of it but the guy has logged some serious innings the past few years.

Hideo Nomo is back in the big leagues. Made the bullpen for the Royals.

Tigers are getting their ass kicked on Sunday Night Baseball. I believe no team that started the season 0-6 has ever made the playoffs.
