  • Anyone watch Ric Flair's farewell on Monday Night?

I know we have the other thread going about the two years old being allegedly killed by his four year old brother as a result of watching the WWE, however I did turn it on in time to see Ric Flair's final appearance. Wow, thirty six years in the business. I "hated" his character for many of those years, especially when he matched up against Kerry Von Erich or Harely Race, but he was always entertaining.

It was great to see the Four Horsemen (Arn Andersen, Tully Blanchard, and Barry Windham) join Flair in the ring. It bought back some of my fun times in my younger days.

it was awesome. Flair's the man, even at his age, he could still put on a great match. it will be weird w/o him wrestling; he's been in the business since i came out of the womb lol

Considering we're just now discussing it, I'd say not too many people watched it.

Everyone missed it b/c it lasted less than 13 minutes?

I'm not a regular "rasslin" viewer, but I was sitting on the couch, feeding the baby the other night...flipping through random channels & caught this...it was, strangely, as touching as any HOF/retirement tribute I've seen...could've used more highlights, but overall pretty good...
. . . and to tell you this: I work with gays, have friends who are gay, go to church with gays. Most of them are aware that I believe that homosexual behavior is sin. Some of them actually agree. Most don't. It's OK . . . because they also know or at least have been made aware of my multitude of sins: adulterous heart, lustful and covetous behavior, wicked pride, angry spirit . . . do I need to go on?

I did the same. I was flipping through and saw it. It would have been nice to let him speak for a couple of minutes.

Too funny - we were just talking about rasslin' yesterday...I told one of the guys that my first "real" experience going to "Wrestling at the Chase" was having seats 2 rows from the ring, Rick Flair walking down the isle and around the ring...and him looking right at me as I was flipping him off. I was 15.

I wish Sting would have shown up....but seeing he works for the competition, I'm sure it couldn't have happened.

I kept waiting for one of those guys to bust him over the head with a chair.
