This may have already been covered but I didn't see it anywhere. Why did the Nationals get to play a one game home stand on Sunday night and then go on the road to Phillie yesterday? ESPN, I suppose but I have been around 52 years and I've never seen that happen before. WTF?

Some have speculated that as part of the Nationals getting some stadium financing, they had it written up in the paperwork that their first game had to be on national television on a Sunday night...
Knowing that you really can't schedule a one-game series in the middle of the week, I guess MLB thought it'd be smart to do it on a night before the rest of the teams started and get it out of the way (based on if the above is true)...I'm sure wanting to have the President attend and throw out the ceremonial first pitch was included in that...
