    The Astros also announced that Roy Oswalt, Brandon Backe, Wandy Rodriguez and Shawn Chacon...








    poor guy...he has to leave with a 6.5 million payoff!

    Guess it's unfair that the first thought that came to mind was Woody getting lit up in Game 1 of the 2004 World Series.

    He had a good career. Great hitter for a pitcher.

      He did have a great career...the stros should not blame woody,but themselves for shelling out a 2 year 13 mill deal to guy over 40 not named Clemens

        In general with or without Woody...it's going to be a rough year for the 'Stros.....

            I remember he was annoyed the Cards didn't want to sign him when his contract expired. Like he hadn't read his own stats line.

                no..i was agreeing...being sarcastic actually...what i was saying was he was giving houston too much credit by saying ROUGH year...I THINK THEY MAY BE IN FOR A TERRIBLE YEAR.

                I was attempting to state that "rough" was to kind a word to.....screw it,gimme a beer!

                            I'll always remember game 5 of the 2004 NLCS. The best game I ever saw in person where Woody and Backe went toe to toe.

                            Not a huge surprise. He was terrible last season and looked even worse in the spring. What is really sad is this is the worst starting rotation for Houston in a long time and Woody couldn't even crack the top 5.

                            Oswalt, Backe, Wandy Rodriguez, Shawn Chacon and Chris Sampson. Terrible.
