    Cancun tips

    Going to Cancun in May. Looking for tips or things to stay away from. Bars, restaurants, etc.


    And since I'm not the type to beat around the bush, what are the strip clubs like and how much do I need to bring to have a real fun time??

        I've been there 5 times...but we always go to an all inclusive and seldom leave the grounds. I go with my wife so I can't say I know anything about the strip bars...

        But...I do recommend you go snorking or diving down there. Going to the Mayan ruins is interesting if you are into looking at old stuff.

            Yeah we have the all inclusive package, but I am goin down with a buddy so we will definately have to do a little exploration around town.

            Planning on snorkeling, Mayan ruins, and maybe dolphin swimming(i'm not gay). Stuff gets pricey quick though.

              When we were down there, (granted it was forever ago) we were told to snorkel in the lagoon. The Lagoon is a National Park type thing (guided tour, so yeah, it costs) and is way better than snorkeling at Isla Mujeres. To quote/paraphrase the concierge at our hotel..."You do not snorkel at Isla Mujeres. Zee reef is dead. Go to Lagoon. Much better snorkeling."

                  Oh yeah...you gotta head into town to scout for some sluts. Head to downtown Cancun and you can't really go wrong.

                  We might swim with the dolphins too this time as we are heading there again at the end of June.

                  Fuck that swimming with sharks though.

                    It's only about 30 miles south.....if you can do the Mayan Ruins tour and snorkeling at Xel Ha, I definitely recommend it......don't forget your sunscreen because it is hotter than shit.....also, if you make it to Playa Del Carma, Cozumel is basically a 30 minute ferry ride across the water.....I don't recommend renting any vehicle to drive 'cause people drive like maniacs down there...basically the autobahn from hell.....

                        Shit. We were poor college students on Spring Break, so we took the bus when we could. Funniest thing I saw was when our bus driver almost got hit broad side by a taxi...The taxi driver got out and started yelling at the bus driver, who threw it in park and got off the bus, where the fools proceeded to gesture wildly, yell, scream and call each other a bunch of names in Spanish for about 5 minutes.

                          I also noticed that they like to travel in bundles in the back of pickups down there....one of the trucks had Toyota spelled backwards on the tailgate with about 7 Mexicans sitting on astroturf lawnchairs in the back....classic stuff...

                              There were iguanas all over the f-ing place in Cozumel....with the hay roofs, it wasn't abnormal to see one climbing up a wall in a particular room of these resort huts....the resorts in Cozumel are on the outskirts of the downtown area, so regarding Cancun, this may not be an issue where you stay....
