i think the cover is awful. its too busy looking and they look like they were photochopped in together. i don't know why vogue would put lebron on the cover anyway, or any other male athlete, when they have men's vogue, esp if they're only going to use them as a "king kong" wannabe.

and seriously, if they wanted this to look like king kong, where are the buildings?? isn't faye wray supposed to be a bit smaller?

I don't understand which group is expressing the outrage. Frankly, this is the first I heard or saw anything about this cover picture or the controversy. Geeze, no matter who's complaining, they need to chill out.

The main question at hand....is he nailing her....if so, you go LeBron...

              photoist, that pic is confusing.

and i could care less if lebron was with a white woman, a white man, or a midget, i think vogue is just trying to hike mag sales personally

I like most of Whitlock's columns, but on this one, it looks like Vougue paid him for some free pub.

I saw this on Today this morning and still don't understand what the problem is. They said he looks like King Kong because of his facial gesture? They can't be serious.

Farfetched notion regarding the cover shot.

I believe the bigger question (read: concern) for Whitlock, if I'm interpreting him properly, is the perception the buffoonery the black athlete exhibits (on and off the field) has on a white viewing audience, and what those actions say about an entire race of black men to anyone watching.

LeBron is the first African-American male to grace Vogue magazine's cover. Too bad it's a disgusting pose.

Jemele Hill should be more careful with her image. Going on Cold Pizza or whatever, trying to imitate Jim Rome? WTF?

Whitlock wrote a column about racism based on this cover????

I saw it and didn't give it any thought beyond hoping it pissed off Tom Brady

WTF. I guess you have to make shit up to get material
