  • ESPN talking head phrase over/under....

The phrase that pays is from the 2007 Best Picture Oscar Winner, "There Will Be Blood", as seen here:

The question is, how long (place your bets and refer back as soon as you see it) until a talking head on ESPN uses the phrase during a highlight reel?

"And at center court at Wimbledon today, Roger Federer had no trouble with American Tim Blake. He's up two sets to love, 5-3 in the third set and look at this ace--'I drink your milkshake!'"

"First inning and Zambrano falls behind Pujols 2-1 and Albert is looking dead red and OH!! 'Carlos I drink your milkshake!!' That blast put the Redbirds up 2-0...."

"Daniel hits Jeremy Maclin with a little swing pass here and WHOOP! Maclin says 'I drink your milkshake' to that safety and takes it 66 yards for the touch."
    I like cheese.

Oh, and "The Departed" was the 2007 Best Picture Oscar Winner.

In 2008, "No Country For Old Men" was the Best Picture Oscar Winner.

"There Will Be Blood" was nominated for Best Picture, and Daniel Day Lewis won for "Best Actor"

I think I witnessed that used about a month ago. And I think I've watched it once since.
              Of course you do.

You're a year off... Departed was 2006 and No Country was 2007. The 2008 Oscars will be in March of 2009.

Oscars are actually counted by the occurance, rather than the year...so the recent Oscars were the 80th Oscars, not the 2007 Oscars, or the 2008 Oscars. As a result, both of us are right.

Oscars aren't restricted to picking movies that were released on only the calendar year prior the award show.

That being said, I would refer to the "2007 Oscar for Best Picture" as the Oscar for Best Picture that was awarded in 2007.
