It may not seem like it now but it's a blessing in disguise...

Does this mean they can start building stuff now?

                Just a guess...

The company may not be doing well financially and the prospect of spending $$$ on a move would not be in the best interests of the company's viability at this point.

Wasn't this part of the holdup, though? That they couldn't build anything until they finalized the stuff with Centene? So...

Was it a financial aspect or an architectural one, though?

IOW, did Centene require a slightly different building design (interior and/or exterior) and Dewitt didn't want to pay for a design that could have been a disadvantage of attracting other businesses if Centene pulled out?

After they tried to muscle out several long-time property owners (via ridiculously low offers) who occupy parcels adjacent to Centene's Clayton HQ, and then losing the TIF battle to force them out, they made a huge deal about moving to Ballpark Village. Now, like a miracle, there's been some movement on a couple of those parcels (likely to a Centene-controlled holding company), so they may be back to a Clayton expansion as originally planned.

I thought they had the vague original plan that they were going to use, then this Centene thing came up...so they had to re-do all the plans, and that was holding things up. Now that Centene is gone, do they just go back to the original layout and start actually building stuff, or decide that they need a big tenant, and wait for them, so that they can get whatever they want/need?
