    Rams sign Reche Caldwell
    By Bill Coats
    ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
    03/25/2008

The Rams have added to their corps of wide receivers by agreeing to terms Tuesday with free agent Reche Caldwell, a six-year NFL veteran who was San Diego’s second-round draft choice in 2002.

    The 6-foot, 210-pound Caldwell reportedly will receive a one-year deal worth $645,000.

Caldwell, 28, is a Tampa, Fla., native who played college football at Florida. He spent four years with the Chargers, averaging 18.5 catches and 237.5 yards per season. He had a breakout season with New England in 2006, when he caught 61 passes for 760 yards and four touchdowns.

With Washington last year, Caldwell played in only eight games, collecting 15 receptions for 141 yards. Al Saunders, the Rams’ new offensive coordinator, held the same position with the Redskins last season.

I've heard of him. Guess we really needed a fourth wideout...?

If I recall, he played for San Diego, New England, and Washington. Think he went to UF. That is all I think I know about him.
If you believe in something sacrifice a hobo to it or don't bother.

In paraphrasing the first post, I forgot to mention that he agreed to a one year contract worth $645,000.

Jim Rome and his clones are probably saying something along the lnes of "even Reche Caldwell is surprised by this signing"

Wasnt he the guy that dropped a couple of passes and maybe fumbled one in the AFC title game in INDY last year?

At least, tahts who they blamed and was cut/not signed by them because of it.

I'm pretty sure they are one and the same.

                    I guess he is Ike's replacement. :(

Why does Scott Linehan hate the passing game?

There is a wideout at Florida who is either his brother or cousin. He is projected as a 1st or 2nd round pick.
Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.

We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the hateful words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people.

He's not Issac's replacement...sadly, that's Bennett. This guy is at best our third or fourth receiver, if that. And he was with Washington last year, so at least he knows the offense.
On my mind: How can I shut up the singing English graduate student? How many more lossess will KU's basketball team have than its football team? How will the Rams front office screw up this year?

I meant that in terms of the place on the roster not as the #2 WR.

Bottomline...we are worse at WR overall. :(

I know that he had a horrible 07 season, but I think it's too early to throw Bennett out with the bathwater. I really think he's going to do just fine.

He had that one great year for the Titans but last year he was pretty bad.
