  • Any 2008 MLB Games for the PC?

I realize THE SHOW will never come to the PC, but are there any other games coming this year that you have heard of?

    I have an XBOX360 but I hate MLB 2Kx games. They're terrible.

I have actually contemplated a PS3 purchase, but just can't justify it right now.

Nope. There continues to be no MLB baseball game for the PC in anyone's pipeline.

I bought a PS3 just for 'The Show'. I haven't regretted it. I'm sure I'll get other games for it eventually, but that was the game that drove the purchase.

I did not. I bought a used 60GB (w/ the ps2 backwards compatability done through hardware) via the EBGames website. Took 'em a week to find it, but it's worked great so far. It did not come w/ an HDMI cable, tho. And the controller doesn't seem to vibrate. But still...

Don't remember exactly. Go to ebgames.com, ps3 tab, click on systems, and you can find the answer, tho.

I'm guessing you might be able to get one cheaper via e-bay, but that's probably a riskier way to do it - this is assuming you want either a 60 GB or 80 GB model for the backward compatability. If not, I'd just go w/ a new 40GB.

It looks like it's another PC-less year for video baseball........as a matter of fact, for you people that still have the PS2, 'The Show' will be the last sports game they make for the system....time to buck up the money for the PS3 before next years sports games come out......

Yeah, sadly there's just no market for PC sports games; even Madden is now mostly sent to PC as an afterthought, with the 360 and PS3 clearly being the format of choice for EA and 2K studios.

Now, if you're looking for GM sims (which have zilch for action), Out Of The Park (OOTP) Baseball for the PC is getting to the point where it might be required coursework for every GM in real baseball. The AI is outstanding, the game depth is insane, and the game makes it easy to either play out historical years OR start from scratch with fantasy players and do your own Moneyball metrics to win (or lose) over many seasons.

Isn't 2005 the latest for the PC?
