Richardson praised Hillary Clinton as a "distinguished leader with vast experience." But the governor said Obama "will be a historic and great president, who can bring us the change we so desperately need by bringing us together as a nation here at home and with our allies abroad."

You're not going to alienate anyone with a woman in the number two slot that you didn't already alienate with a black man in the number one slot. And if you're going to be about "change," be about "change." A black man and a woman against a million year old white guy is, admittedly, a stark contrast.
