It probably would be, but I will say this, IF Obama and Clinton came out and gave it their approval and really really worked the people saying it was what they want It might work.
Gore being the person would also help greatly.

But I still think it would be a horrible thing to do, other countries who we bitch about having silly elections would laugh themselves to death over this.

I think Al Gore would whip some ass in 2008. He appears to have no interest in running again, and after what was done to him in 2000 it's hard to blame him. Gore's moved past all that, which is why this will not happen.
